For the Love of the Game is a basketball photo series that looks at movement and the moments just before or after it. I’m interested in how stillness and motion exist at the same time, how even a paused body holds the possibility of change.
The work focuses on moments where balance and flow meet. Movement isn’t treated only as action, but as a way to think about time, tension, and continuity. Some images show motion clearly, while others feel quiet or restrained, suggesting movement without fully showing it.
The series is shot on black-and-white film to emphasize contrast, form, and rhythm. Stripping away color allows the focus to stay on the body, the space, and the energy held within each frame.
